'sti Tedeschi...

Having received the following interesting e-mail by an Italian dog (bau bau), I post it below with English translation.

Il fratello di Gershom Scholem, di cui forse hai sentito parlare, era un

grande ammiratore della cultura tedesca, a suo dire la più grande del

mondo. Sopravvissuto alla Shoah, ormai vecchio in Israele fu

interpellato da un giornalista se ancora riteneva la cultura tedesca

una grande cultura. Rispose: "non sarà certo un Hitler qualsiasi
